Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar using an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend this into the creamed mixture.
Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula until evenly distributed.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheets.
Bake in preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned. Let cool on a wire rack.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze and thaw when needed.
