Steps
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef until browned and cooked through, then drain excess fat.
Add onion to the skillet and cook until translucent. Stir in the frozen corn.
Combine cream of mushroom soup and sour cream in a bowl to make a creamy mixture.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Layer beef mixture in a baking dish and cover with cream mixture and half the cheese.
Top with tater tots arranged evenly, then cover with remaining cheese. Bake until golden and bubbly.
