Main Ingredients

  • ground beef
  • bowtie pasta
  • olive oil
  • onion
  • cloves garlic
  • heavy cream
  • beef broth
  • grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • Fresh parsley

Instructions

Steps

  • Fill a large pot with water, add a pinch of salt, and bring it to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
  • In a frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, sauté until the onion is translucent.
  • Add the ground beef to the pan. Cook until the beef is browned, drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and beef broth. Bring to a simmer and gradually add half of the Parmesan cheese.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and stir to coat pasta with the sauce. Use reserved pasta water for consistency.
  • Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot, garnished with remaining Parmesan and fresh parsley.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop with a splash of cream.
