Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • beef
  • olive oil
  • onion
  • garlic
  • Italian seasoning
  • salt
  • pepper
  • beef broth
  • heavy cream
  • pasta
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley

Instructions

Steps

  • Begin by warming 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion, allowing it to soften and become translucent, about 2–3 minutes. Follow with the minced garlic, stirring gently for an additional minute.
  • Increase the heat slightly and add the beef to the skillet. Break it apart with a wooden spoon or spatula, ensuring even browning. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked, around 5 minutes.
  • Once the beef is cooked, lower the heat to medium and pour in the beef broth. Stir thoroughly to loosen any browned bits from the skillet's bottom. Add the heavy cream, bringing the liquid to a gentle simmer.
  • While the sauce simmers, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add your choice of pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta using a colander and set aside.
  • Add the cooked and drained pasta directly into the skillet with the beef sauce. Mix gently to ensure the pasta is evenly coated in the creamy sauce, then sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For reheating, gently warm up on the stove with a little added cream or broth to regain the original creamy consistency.
