Season chicken slices with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then add and sear the chicken until golden brown. Remove and rest.
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, add pasta, and cook as per package instructions. Strain and set aside.
Using the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add chicken broth, followed by heavy cream and Parmesan. Stir until sauce thickens.
Mix chicken and pasta back into the skillet with the sauce, tossing well to coat. Adjust seasoning and add fresh basil.
Serve immediately, garnishing with more Parmesan and basil.
Notes
For a delightful variation, add a splash of white wine in the sauce for an additional depth of flavor.
