  • Heat your skillet over medium heat and add a splash of oil. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
  • Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Stir in garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Heat a frying pan with oil about a quarter-inch deep. Fry tortillas until crispy. Use a spatula to fold them into taco shapes.
  • Drain on paper towels. Fill with beef mixture and add your favorite toppings.
  • Serve immediately while the tacos are warm and crispy.

Notes

Store leftover beef in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reassemble tacos only before serving for best texture.
