  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Using a wooden spoon, break it into smaller pieces as it cooks until well browned, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and sliced mushrooms to the same skillet. Stir frequently and cook until the onions are translucent and the mushrooms are tender, around 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the flour over the beef and vegetable mixture. Stir well until all the ingredients are coated and the flour has cooked slightly, about 1 minute.
  • Carefully pour in the beef broth, stirring continuously. Bring the mixture to a light boil and then reduce the heat. Allow it to simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Turn off the heat and stir in the sour cream. Mix until it's fully integrated, resulting in a lusciously creamy sauce.

Notes

This dish can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat gently on the stove, adding a bit of broth if necessary.
