Steps

  • Prepare the ingredients by chopping the onion and garlic and slicing the mushrooms.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Remove the beef and sauté the onions and garlic in the same skillet until translucent.
  • Add mushrooms to the skillet and cook until soft.
  • Return the beef to the skillet, sprinkle with flour, and stir to coat.
  • Pour in beef broth and simmer until the sauce reduces.
  • Stir in sour cream until the sauce is creamy and smooth.
  • Serve over noodles or rice with a garnish of parsley.

Notes

Stroganoff can be refrigerated for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge before reheating on the stove.
