Instructions
Steps
In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
Add the onion and garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 3-5 minutes until onions are translucent.
Layer half of the potatoes in a baking dish. Add beef and onion mix, then top with remaining potatoes.
Mix cream of mushroom soup with salt and pepper. Pour over casserole layers evenly.
Top with shredded Cheddar cheese. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat in oven or microwave before serving.
