Easy Beef Stroganoff Recipe

  • olive oil
  • onion
  • garlic
  • mushrooms
  • beef broth
  • sour cream
  • flour
  • Dijon mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • fresh parsley

Steps

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the beef strips to the skillet with the vegetables. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes.
  • Add the mushrooms and cook until they are soft, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir. Gradually add the beef broth, stirring until it thickens.
  • Stir in the sour cream and Dijon mustard over low heat. Mix until all is well combined.
  • Remove from heat, garnish with parsley, and serve over pasta or rice.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Delicious when reheated slowly.
