Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Wash and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
  • In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  • Add chopped onions to the beef; cook until onions are translucent.
  • Layer the potatoes, beef mixture, and cream of mushroom soup in a baking dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove foil for last 10 minutes to brown cheese.
  • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
