  • chicken broth

Steps

  • In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and celery, sauté until soft.
  • Sprinkle in flour over vegetables, stir to form a roux, gradually pour in chicken broth.
  • Add the cooked chicken and peas. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Rolling out pie dough on a floured surface, place first round in baking dish.
  • Pour filling into pie crust, cover with top crust, apply egg wash.
  • Bake in preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) until crust is golden.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat in the oven to maintain crispness.
