Main Ingredients

  • ground beef
  • olive oil
  • onion
  • garlic
  • taco seasoning
  • tomatoes
  • jalapeño
  • salt and pepper
  • iceberg lettuce leaves
  • shredded cheese
  • avocado
  • lime
  • fresh cilantro

Instructions

Steps

  • Prepare the ingredients by chopping the onion, mincing the garlic, and deseeding and chopping the jalapeño. Dice the tomatoes and slice the avocado. Rinse the lettuce leaves and pat them dry.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic for 3–4 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook for 8–10 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the beef, add the diced tomatoes and chopped jalapeño. Stir well and cook for another 5 minutes. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Arrange lettuce leaves on a serving platter. Spoon beef mixture onto each leaf. Top with cheese, avocado slices, and cilantro. Squeeze lime on top and serve immediately.

Notes

Store the beef mixture in the fridge separately from the lettuce. Reheat beef and assemble wraps fresh to enjoy later.
