Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • ground beef
  • soy sauce
  • beef broth
  • brown sugar
  • garlic
  • ginger
  • onion
  • bell pepper
  • noodles
  • scallions
  • sesame seeds

Instructions

Steps

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until fully browned. Use a wooden spoon to break the beef into small bits as it cooks. Once browned, drain any excess fat.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, minced garlic, and ginger. Ensure everything is well combined for a consistent sauce texture.
  • Boil water in a large pot. Add noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Return the skillet with the beef to medium heat and add the sliced onions and bell peppers. Cook until soft and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  • Lower the heat to simmer and pour the prepared sauce over the beef and vegetables. Stir in the cooked noodles until everything is well coated, allowing the flavors to meld together for 3-5 minutes.
  • Serve these delicious noodles hot and straight from the pan. Garnish with freshly chopped scallions and sesame seeds for a bit of crunch and color.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Although the noodles may soak up the sauce, making them softer, a quick stir-fry is all that's needed to warm them up. Freezing is not recommended as noodles lose their texture once thawed.
