  • Start by seasoning the beef tips with salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a sauté pan over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add the beef tips and cook until they are browned on all sides.
  • In the same pan, reduce the heat to medium and add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent and the garlic is fragrant, about 2–3 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and flour until smooth. Pour this mixture into the pan with the sautéed onions and garlic. Bring it to a simmer while stirring.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the beef tips to a baking dish, then pour the onion and sauce mixture over the top. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven, let it rest for a few minutes, then serve the beef tips warm. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove and add a splash of broth if needed.
