Steps

  • Heat oil in a large skillet and sear the beef until brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  • Add onions and green bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté until soft and translucent, about 8 minutes.
  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
  • Reduce the skillet heat to low, add cheeses and milk to create a creamy sauce; use reserved pasta water as needed.
  • Combine beef, pasta, and sauce in the skillet. Toss to evenly distribute the sauce and heat through.

Notes

For storing, keep leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat gently with a splash of milk.
