Steps

  • Slice the sirloin steak into thin strips and season with salt and pepper.
  • Melt butter in a skillet and sauté chopped onions and garlic until translucent.
  • Add sliced mushrooms and cook until they release moisture and brown.
  • Push vegetables aside and brown steak in skillet.
  • Sprinkle in flour, stirring well. Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to prevent lumps. Simmer until sauce thickens.
  • Lower heat and stir in sour cream until smooth. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

For storage, allow the stroganoff to cool and store in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. Freeze portions for longer storage.
