  • flank steak
  • broccoli florets
  • soy sauce
  • corn starch
  • vegetable oil
  • garlic
  • ginger
  • beef broth
  • oyster sauce

  • In a large bowl, combine the sliced beef with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of corn starch. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  • Blanch broccoli florets in boiling water for two minutes, then plunge into ice water. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add beef slices; sear for 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  • Add ginger and garlic to the wok; sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Return beef and broccoli to the wok. Add beef broth, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Stir to combine.
  • Mix corn starch with water to make a slurry; add to the wok. Cook until sauce thickens. Serve warm.

Notes

For best results, consume within three days of preparation. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container.
