  • buttermilk
  • all-purpose flour
  • paprika
  • garlic powder
  • cayenne pepper

Steps

  • Rinse chicken wings and pat them dry with paper towels.
  • In a large bowl, marinate chicken wings with buttermilk in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  • Mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper in another bowl.
  • Dredge marinated chicken in the flour mixture; double coat for extra crunch, if desired.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry the chicken wings in batches for 8-10 minutes until crispy and golden.

Notes

Store leftover fried wings in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for crispiness.
